Length, location and the best bone area is selected for each implant.  This state-of-the-art method for placing implants makes allows the doctor to work with greater safety and comfort for you.  Emergence of the implant at the proper angle plus width and length of the implant are much more accurate to determine.  Avoidance of nerve or sinus damage makes the whole procedure less risky as well.

After the CTscan, your 'data' is e-mailed over the internet to our planning center. Together with a specialized technical support team, Dr. Scott plans the exact location of each implant.  Special considerations are made to locate the implant in the best bone possible.  Terms such as 'HU' or Hounsfield Units are now everyday words in our office.  The implant is placed in the perfect position to similute the root of your previous tooth to allow proper chewing with minimal stress on the implant.  This is called 'emergence profile' in the world of CTscan based implantology.
